چکیده
Seismology focuses on the study of earthquakes and associated phenomena to characterize seismic sources Earth structure, which both are immediate relevance society. This article is composed two independent views state integrated, coordinated, open, networked (ICON) principles (Goldman et al., 2021, https://doi.org/10.1029/2021eo153180) in seismology reflects opportunities challenges adopting them from a different angle. Each perspective topic. Section 1 deals with integration multiscale multidisciplinary observations, focusing integrated open approaches, whereas 2 discusses computing open-source algorithms, reflecting networked, principles. In past century, has benefited co-existing technological advancements—The emergence new, more capable sensory systems affordable distributed infrastructure. Integrating multiple observations crucial strategy improve understanding earthquake hazards. However, current efforts making big datasets available manageable lack coherence, makes it challenging implement initiatives that span communities. Building ongoing advancements computing, machine learning algorithms have been revolutionizing way data processing interpretation. A community-driven approach code management offers for young scholars learn contribute sustainable seismology. Investing new sensors, infrastructure, following ICON will enable discoveries across sciences.

ASP perspectives on networked appliances
ASPs today provide a means for businesses to outsource their applications thus saving on setup and maintenance costs. This paper presents an example of an ASP providing a service to a specialized networked device: a Networked Alarm Clock. This example is used to illustrate the issues ASPs would need to deal with to provide services to specialized networked devices within a home network.

Looking at Open Science and Open Data from a broad perspective. This is the idea behind "Scientific data sharing: an interdisciplinary workshop", an initiative designed to foster dialogue between scholars from different scientific domains which was organized by the Istituto Italiano di Antropologia in Anagni, Italy, 2-4 September 2013.We here report summaries of the presentations and discussion...
متن کاملIs Earthquake Seismology a Hard, Quantitative Science?
Our purpose is to analyze the causes of recent failures in earthquake forecasting, as well as the difficulties in earthquake investigation. We then propose that more rigorous methods are necessary in earthquake seismology research. First, we discuss the failures of direct earthquake forecasts and the poor quantitative predictive power of theoretical and computer simulation methods in explaining...
